Never Argue with your kid sister

On Raksha bandhan day, my cousin sister, (wrong usage, correct expression; English sucks sometimes), Amla, studying in class 4, called. Excerpts from the conversation
……….
Me: I didn’t get your rakhee , it might have got delayed in transit.

Amla: I didn’t sent one.

Me :What? Why?

Amla: You will come here on 2nd September, I will tie you then.

Me : But Raksha bandhan is on 24th August.

Amla: Listen, you told me that you will reach home on 2nd September. But before you enter home, it is not 2nd September. I will tie you rakhi outside the house, and that day will momentarily be 24th August. After you enter home, the date will become 2nd September. Okay?

Me : (Bewildered)

Amla: Understood?

Me : Yes yes. Good idea.

Amla . Thanks. How long are you staying here?

Me: 1 week. I have only this much holidays.

Amla: What? Who is your principal? Tell me. I will write him a leave application!
